The NYC Independent Film Festival Is a celebration of films and filmmakers, promoting international independent films, in recognition of the fact movies are the most powerful form of cultural communication and link between cultures and peoples.
The 4th Annual NYC Indie Film Fest which was held from October 18-20 spotlighted the truly independent filmmaker from around the globe. In 2013, we received over 700 entries from 47 nations. We programed 127 films that played over 3 days in 5 theaters to thousands of New Yorkers as well as visitors from around the world. The festival showcased documentaries, narratives, short films, short documents, super shorts and music videos. Submit here!
The festival also held various events including panels for actors, directors, writers and producers as well as education panels on contracts and what every filmmaker should know about them. And parties! Three major parties and numeral small ones, The Opening Party was our welcome to the festival for the accepted filmmakers and their guess. The Music Video Party and The Fan Awards Closing Party were open to all. All the panels and party were well received and everyone enjoyed the events.
The 5th Annual NYC Indie Film Fest which is being expanded to 5 full days of screenings, panels, events and parties and will be held from October 15-19, 2014 and is promising to be bigger and better!
